I’ve been reading Generation X by Douglas Coupland and it’s very good. I find a lot of myself in that book, especially in the dictionary definitions he gives at the bottom of some pages. The book defines a lot of ideas which never had been defined before (to my knowledge) and really got me thinking. Some of Coupland’s ideas stopped me in my tracks (literally as I walked around the city reading the book).

 I’m thinking of listing some or all of his definitions and relating them here to my life and to PU. Watch this space

I might be down in London either this weekend or next. It’s been a while since I was there and it would be good to check in again and show my face. I don’t think I was in London since last year. In the last year I’ve been to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Manchester, Nottingham, Leicester, Glasgow, Pontefract, Newcastle, Belfast, Dublin, Cork… but not London.

I’m really focusing on my next career move during these months and once that is settled, I’ll be in a clearer position to do nothing.

Generation X has nothing on me.

I’ve had my fair share of HBs over the years, as some of you will know. And looking back at my LTRs, I see some checks were into sucking and swallowing but some were just into taking it in the traditional place.

I never realised why this happens until yesterday. Why do some chicks (the minority in my experience) love to suck and swallow but the majority prefer to take it traditionally in the pussy, even if there is some sucking before. Whatever happened to the money shot? In video land it pervades as a perversion partly because it is not quite the norm yet.

Thinking about it last night, I was thinking about something Christopher Hitchens said. He was talking about a religious sect called the Shakers. He pointed out they had a doctrine whereby EVERYONE was celibate. EVERYONE. Including the priests. Guess what? They all died out. There was no one to pass on the doctrines of the sect.

The same applies to some degree with oral sex.

If women all loved oral sex and swallowed, their men would get satisfaction without furthering the human species.

But where human females have evolved disdain for sucking and swallowing, the men seek release mainly vaginally as opposed to orally. This results more often in reproduction.

It’s only a theory but there does appear to be evidence behind it.

But what is the benefit to the female of giving oral sex if it does not give a child as a result? It may result in her man staying with her because she offers a sexual release. And also, too many children in limited circumstances can be a burden or fitness handicap, so oral sex may have an evolutionary purpose in that aspect too, i.e. sexual release without pregnancy.

And anal sex opens a whole new area of discussion.

Things that make you go “mmmmmm…..”

I’ve been working in the English midlands for a short while and it’s going OK. It’s good to be based in a new city and it lets me get out there and meet new people too.

I’m not too far from London and I am planning a trip down there one weekend soon. I don’t get down to London as often as I could or should. It the capital for goodness sake. But it’s true to say I know other cities better – Stockholm, Hamburg, Hong Kong, Seville, Madrid. It just depends how much time you spend, I suppose.
