Summer Plans

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

The summer is here and I’m planning summer holidays.

It’s my favourite time of the year because we can put plans into operation.

The drawback is I only have 2-3 weeks free. I hope YOU have substantially more :-)

What does one do to make the most of all the opportunities available?

One can stay awake as log as possible during non-work hours and sleep during work hours  – but this tends to piss off non-insomnia suffering management minions. Does one stay home? Go far away? Or try to strike a balance?

Tonight it’s Saturday and I’m trying to strike a balance but it’s hard because I don’t know whether to go to the USA, South America or Europe. At the moment, Europe is edging it – but even then there is WAY to much to see. And this is a person who has seen much of Europe. I’ve even lived in Spain/Sweden/Italy/Germany, at various times.

I’m considering Turkey, Greece, Sweden. Germany and Austria. It’s a tough call, and I know I’ll do something, but what exactly, I’m not sure. It’s a balance between sarging SHBs, friendliness, culture, prices, weather and food.

On another point, I was chatting with my buddy Huddersfield Mark and he has a new blog site:

www.thehuddersfieldmark.blogspot.com

I asked him about holidays and he gave me his perspective – to stay closer to home – and ultimately, no one can decide for me. It’s worth picturing how you would be on holiday and how you’d feel in that situation then compare that with the pick up training opportunity it would offer.

Finally, another piece of news: I’ve started work on a new product – it’s still a work in progress but I’ve bought the URL and written several thousand words already. It’s not so hard to write because it draws on my field experience of the past 2 decades and systemises my techniques and knowledge into an accessable and useable format. More details will follow.

And by the way, the very topic of holiday plans is an excellent one for getting closer to people. Try asking girls you have opened – ‘If you could go anywhere in the world on holiday, where would you love to go?’ From there you can easily access themes of fanatasy and letting go.

Enjoy your summer!
