Ireland and Scotland – Family History Routines

I have Celtic blood. One of my oldest routines is my family history – about how they were French noblemen who fought for William The Conqueror in 1066 at the Battle of Hastings when he invaded England. He rewarded them with land in Scotland and over the years it was divided between his sons so they lost out. But the bloodline remains. There’s supposedly some truth in the tale and I embellish the blue blood aspect for status and I build up the family aspect for rapport. I also have a ghost story about seeing a cousin of mine who died and my grandfather reveals the secret history to me. Girls have said ‘It’s a grabber’.

Do you have a family history to social proof you in the status and rapport areas? If not, I suggest you consider one. The best ones are the ones truly related to what you know in your family history. If you post outlines here as a reply to this post we can go over them and improve them. Mine works well. Big family, one person died, family loyalty prevailed etc. There are a whole HOST of techniques available in detailing your family history. Attraction and rapport can merge easily in such stories. Chicks dig it in a big way. It’s the stuff of romance stories applied to you.

So I went back to my family routes in Ireland and Scotland last week. I missed my flight to Ireland and had to buy a new ticket and take a train. I caught the concert I had tickets for and checked out a few castles, lots of pubs and hooked up with an old community friend of mine, Gem. Very cool guy. Very genuine and congruent.

Then I travelled a couple of days before flying to Glasgow. I like that place too. Very down to Earth place. Decent people. I used to work there in the past – just for a few months. But I remember lying in bed in 2000 reading through my ASF notes on Mystery and Maniac High then going out in Glasgow’s shops and bars hitting up lots of HBs. Classic times going solo.

Now I’m back in England and will be going to live in the English midland for over 2 months. Is anyone from the community based there? I might be down to London for some sarging weekends, so I’ll hook up with some of my London Lair buddies.

Let me know if you are going out!

Slainte (cheers!)
